Recreate Responsibly

Parks and Preserves

Parks and preserves are open. Enjoy the outdoors safely, and find peace and joy during these challenging times. For updates, check Alerts & Closures.

All visitors should stay with their household groups.  Maintain six feet of social distance from others. Wear a mask. Bring a face covering that covers the nose and mouth, and have it on whenever you can't maintain social distance outdoors.

Other limits may apply, even at open locations. Please respect posted signs and guidance from rangers.

Plan ahead. Verify the status of a location before traveling, especially to west Marin coastal areas. If a location is crowded, move on to another destination. Pack in what you need, and pack everything out.

Incident Reporting

To report a safety hazard, maintenance issue, or unsafe condition in a location managed by Marin County Parks, use the incident report form. Note: Marin County Parks field staff do not have authority over public lands that are under federal, state, city, town, or other jurisdiction. Check the One Tam map for open space location jurisdictions.

Event Cancellations

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), Marin County Parks has canceled all events until further notice. This includes ranger, naturalist, and volunteer programs. View the Parks calendar for event updates. Until further notice, Parks is not accepting any bookings for group picnic area reservations.
