Awards and Recognition

IPM Innovator Award and IPM Innovator Youtube Video
In 2011 the Marin County IPM Program received a State IPM Innovator Award from the Department of Pesticide Regulation. We were one of only 4 groups, organizations, and companies that received this honor. Award recipients are chosen for innovative approaches to IPM and reduced-risk pest management, as well as for taking a leadership role in promoting these practices.

Assembly Resolution
In 2011 the Marin County IPM program was presented with an assembly resolution by assembly member Jared Huffman in recognition of our environmentally responsible leadership.

California Trails and Greenways Merit Award
In 2012 the Marin County Parks received a merit award from the California Trails and Greenways Conference. The award was presented for our organic IPM maintenance program at the Mill Valley/Sausalito multiuse pathway, a program which combines the benefits of building community support for trails with improvement of public and environmental health through the reduction of pesticide use.

Northwest Center For Alternatives to Pesticides
Many Marin County parks are included in the Northwest Center for Alternatives to Pesticides list of pesticide free parks.
