Marin County Parks and Open Space Department

From Bolinas Lagoon, a designated a wetland of international importance, to the Tiburon Peninsula, one of the most significant geologic sites on earth and home to unique endemic flowers, Marin County's 16,000 acres of open space are very special places. Our open space preserves require a consistent resource management approach. The draft Vegetation and Biodiversity Management Plan uses a science-based comprehensive approach to prioritizing the best and most important projects within the preserves. All Vegetation and Biodiversity Management projects are overseen by the Parks and Open Space Commission.
