Marin County Parks and Open Space Department

This 106 acre preserve incorporates a tidal wetland that is a small reminder of the vast salt marshes that once surrounded San Francisco Bay. This quiet inlet at the north end of Richardson Bay, surrounded by cordgrass and pickleweed, is home for several endangered species. While these species may not be evident to every visitor, the number of shorebirds and waterfowl that rest and feed here is always an attraction.

From Hwy 101, take exit 445B, follow Hwy 1 north exit west towards Mill Valley, turn right at Miller Ave. MCOSD gate is on the right, across from Almonte Blvd.
