Located at the corner of Toby Street and Mesa Road in downtown Point Reyes Station, this tiny mini park is best known as Toby’s Community Park. And community is most appropriate! In 2008, the Committee for a Family-Friendly Point Reyes saw their fund raising and volunteering come to life with the construction of a brand new modern playground, restroom, small picnic area, and parking lot. The playground is appropriate for children two to ten, has tot swings, a sand play area, climbing structure, and shaded benches. The playground, restroom, picnic area, and parking are accessible. Though this park primarily serves local residents, it’s a great place for visitors to west Marin to rest, let the kids play, and enjoy a picnic lunch. Dogs are allowed on leash, but they are not allowed in the playground area.
Directions:
From Highway 101 in Larkspur, take the Sir Francis Drake Boulevard (SFBD) exit west to Olema, turn right at Highway 1/SFBD, follow north toward Point Reyes Station, turn left at Mesa Road, and turn right on Toby Street. Small parking lot immediately on the right.
