General Information
We provide outdoor recreation opportunities and facilities of all kinds—from boat access and ballfields to large group rental sites and a swimming pool. Our parks range in size from mini-parks that serve local neighborhoods to large-scale regional parks that serve thousands of people with a wide variety of amenities and facilities.

The majority of our parks and facilities are open during day light hours, from sunrise to sunset. The hours for McInnis, McNears Beach, Paradise Beach, and Stafford Lake parks change throughout the year depending on the season and are scheduled as follows:
Note: McNears Beach, Paradise Beach, and Stafford Lake parks are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
McInnis Park - Skate Park Hours
The skate park's hours are the same as the hours for McInnis Park (above). Effective 2012: Scooters are permitted in the skate park every day until 1:00 p.m. and all day on Wednesdays at the same time as skateboards and in-line skates. Permissible scooters are human-powered with a handlebar, deck and wheels.
McNears Beach Park Pool Hours
Open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Access fee - $5.00 per person.
Summer fees effective Sunday, March 11, 2012; Winter Fees effective Sunday, November 4, 2012.
Entrance or parking fees are charged per person or per vehicle at the following parks and facilities:
* White House Pool is a natural area, not a community pool
** vehicle parking fee is for each vehicle
*** per person by foot, on bike, or by boat
Note: Holiday rates apply on Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day at McNears Beach, Paradise Beach, and Stafford Lake parks.
Our annual Park Pass is available to the general public and provides access to and use of Marin County parks and facilities that charge an entrance or parking fee. The pass is valid for one year, beginning from the date of sale, and is $85.00 for the general public and $38.00 for disabled individuals and those 65 and over.
The pass admits the holder when entering on foot, by bike, by water vessel, or by non-commercial vehicle (including up to 12 passengers). The pass can be obtained by calling (415) 499-6387 or by visiting our administrative office (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) at the Marin County Civic Center, 3501 Civic Center Drive, Room 260 in San Rafael.
Group use is subject to prior reservations, conditions, and charges. Groups of 20 or more participants, whether formally organized or not, must obtain prior written approval from the department before using Marin County parks and facilities.
