Chicken Ranch Beach is north of Inverness, adjacent to Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and nestled along the west shore of Tomales Bay. This three acre natural area serves the small communities of Inverness and neighboring Point Reyes Station, as well as visitors to the west Marin area. Chicken Ranch Beach provides access to Tomales Bay and is a popular kayak spot. The small sandy beach is a serene place to relax and enjoy bucolic west Marin, have a picnic, fly a kite, or stop-over during the long drive to Point Reyes National Seashore. Dogs are allowed on leash.
Directions:
From Hwy 101 in Larkspur, take the Sir Francis Drake Blvd (SFBD) exit west to Olema, turn right at Hwy 1/SFBD, and follow SFBD north past Inverness. There is no signage, so look for cars parked on the right side of the road, just as the road veers west. Parking is limited.
